We Love Singing and Serving!
“We have lots of joy when we sing and worship together! And after singing for 13 years, we received so many requests to record a CD of our music, that we finally got around to making one this year! It contains some of our favorite southern gospel songs, including great upbeat music about heaven…as well as some timeless ballads like “He Touched Me”.
Our hope is that you will enjoy singing along in “stereo” with us in person at our concerts and programs or in Chapel Praise at Church of the City, or with our CD. Our prayer is that the Lord Jesus will use this music to spread His gospel message everywhere.
By the way, there are six of us in the “Stereo” Praise Quartet…that’s because we have two tenors and two bass singers…thus, the stereo quartet! But in reality, at our age, you never know when you’ll need a spare part! 🙂
We’re all husbands and dads, and four of us are grand dads…so I guess we could have called ourselves and our CD… “Papa Praise”…but I think our wives are glad that we didn’t! We all love our churches and serve every week in various ministries, as well as continuing to pursue our careers or enjoy retirement.”
Here’s a little bit about each of us:
Bill Munn – Bass: Bill also sings with award-winning barbershop chorus Kentucky Vocal Union and The Music City Chorus. He’s a part of Redeemer Church in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Bill and his wife Robyn enjoy their 4 kids and traveling whenever Bills’ career as an independent representative allows them to do so.
Dave Johnson – Bass: Sings with the Chapel Praise Choir at Church of the City in Franklin, Tn. He’s also pretty handy at the carpenter’s bench, having crafted a beautiful pulpit that was used at First Baptist in Franklin for well over a decade. Enjoys doing volunteer work at church and in the community and most importantly, he and wife Reba enjoy spending retirement time with their kids and 5 grandkids! Dave’s career included serving as an engineer.
Ed Winn – Baritone: Sings with the Chapel Praise Choir and serves in various ministries at Church of the City in Franklin, TN. Ed and his wife Susan enjoy their family of 6 kids and 9 grandkids! When he isn’t enjoying their company, he continues to enjoy his retirement from management with Bell South/AT&T.
Randy Reynolds – Lead Singer: Singer/songwriter/recording artist and soloist with Church of the City Choir in Franklin, TN as well as active in ministry at church. Randy has had the pleasure of singing with various groups over the years in venues around the nation. Randy is an Architect and Dad to his son Caleb.
Dean Schield – Tenor: Sang with Doug Oldham & The Christian Brothers quartet as well as Bill Gaither and has recorded multiple CD’s and albums, soloist with Church of the City Choir in Franklin, TN and Worship Leader in Rockvale, TN. Dean is a retired minister of music. He and his wife Sandy moved to Franklin, Tennessee to be closer to their two grandkids…and you’ll find them on baseball fields regularly!
Chuck Snyder – Tenor: Worship Leader of the Chapel Praise service at Church of the City in Franklin, TN. Chuck has been a part of the music program at TPC for 35 years, along with his wife Melinda, who is the worship planner for the Chapel Praise service at Church of the City, an accompanist and rehearsal director for the quartet, and has been playing for churches since she was 10 years of age! Chuck is president of Brentwood Communications, Inc., a hospital brand marketing practice.
“We’re so very thankful to have a great band that includes Diane Dawson on piano (she also directs the Stereo Quartet band), Melinda Snyder on piano and synthesizer…Melinda also is the rehearsal director for the quartet (and Chuck’s wife), Randy and Jan Brasfield on guitar and bass, and Jonathan McAdams on drums.”
We also have a horn line that plays often with us including Jeff Chandler, Jeff Anderson, Rick Palmiter, Rick Yuill and others on occasion.
